Daily Wireless News & Updates.- Chip maker Royal Philips Electronics said a U.S. cellular carrier will launch voice-over-WiFi this year using Philips' Nexperio 6120 chipset. Philips wouldn't identify the carrier, but it's probably safe to assume the customer is T-Mobile USA, the owner of a significant number of WiFi hotspots throughout the nation, and the nationwide operator that is behind the rest of its competitors in the 3G game.
