WIRELESS NEWS: Cellular/WiFi handset battery life is poor

Daily Wireless News & Updates.- With all the hype surrounding the introduction of cellular/WiFi handsets, softswitch platform provider Netcentrex reminds us that battery life stinks, making fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) unattractive at this point. These handsets are burning up the battery power too fast, meaning users only have about four hours in standby time. So don't expect the FMC market to take off too quickly.
